The client, a married couple from the international set, was never comfortable with the house they bought when they moved to the city. Part of a larger development built in the 1980's, the layout and detailing were conventional and thoughtless.

The design/build renovation has responded to their values and reflects their interests in books, conversation, and entertaining and has transformed the house to a place where they are finally comfortable in their own home.
